Erasmus Days at Rennes 2 University: A Week to Celebrate Europe and Mobility Opportunities

From October 13 to 17, the Villejean Campus will come alive with the Erasmus Days, a week of activities, meetings, and creative exchanges celebrating cultural diversity, international collaboration, and the European spirit of openness.

Celebrating the Spirit of Erasmus

Throughout the week, students, staff, and partners will come together to celebrate the values that define the Erasmus+ experience — curiosity, inclusion, and cooperation. Whether you’re preparing for your first mobility or returning from one, the Erasmus Days are the perfect opportunity to connect, share, and get inspired.

A Week of Encounters and Exploration: Highlights

  • Exhibition “United in Diversity” 
    Beginning on October 13th /  BU Espace des langues (Building L)

     

Discover the exhibition United in Diversity, which portrays the European Union’s member states through their historical, geographical, and cultural characteristics. It highlights what makes each country unique, while showing how all are united under a shared European project. This exhibition is organized in partnership with the Maison de l’Europe de Rennes and Haute Bretagne – Centre EUROPE DIRECT, and the EMERGE Alliance. Focus on the EMERGE Alliance Partner Countries and Universities 

  • Words in Transit: Welcome to the Matrix

     

    Tuesday, October 14 - Lecture Hall D1 (Building D) 4 p.m.

     

Take part in a collaborative workshop where participants will co-create open educational resources based on travel experiences. Using the virtual world Rennes2D, participants will build the “Matrix REL” — a creative online space designed to help future Erasmus+ students experience a smooth and confident “Smart Arrival” in their host countries.

  • Workshop “Mobility and Sustainability: Mission Impossible?” 

     

    Tuesday, October 14 (CMI Rennes)   

Held at the Cité Internationale Paul Ricoeur, this event will explore a timely question: Can international mobility become more sustainable? Participants will discuss concrete ways to make study and work abroad more environmentally responsible, both individually and institutionally. Registration required before October 10.

  • World Wide Café: Beyond Europe

     

    Wednesday, October 15, BU Espace des langues (Building L), 12:30 - 2pm

Join these interactive sessions at the Language Space to share stories, reflections, and advice about studying abroad. The World Wide Café will feature testimonies from students who studied outside Europe. Group discussion from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by individual discussions from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m.

    Thursday, October 16, BU Espace des langues (Building L), 12:30 - 2pm  

     

Join us for testimonials from students who participated in the Erasmus exchange program.  Group discussion from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m., followed by individual discussions  from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.    

 

  • Mobility Debrief Workshops   

     

    Thursday, October 16, Tiers-lieu Espace des langues (Building L),   

     

These workshops will help returnees reflect on and showcase the skills gained during their mobility experience.  Advance registration required - 2 slots: 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. or, 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.    

 

  • International Mobility Fair       

     

    Thursday, October 16 / Building L, 12:30 p.m. - 2 p.m.
